The Worms For Us Story
But of course, with every good idea, the next step is the challenge of implementation. Neil began working on a system in the 2010’s for what was to become the worm farming operation of our farm. We found a way to preserve the natural beauty of the area, maintain a farm organically and satisfy the need to be more environmentally friendly by striking a balance between food production and fertilizer.
It all started in a casual conversation many years ago between “Worms For Us” head worm guy, Neil and an acquaintance who was in landscaping/horticulture about the benefits of worm casting. Interesting Neil thought. Could worm farming be done in the quiet British Columbia community of Salmon Arm? The seed of the idea was planted.
The first homegrown worm castings were used as fertilizer on our own farm. And through continual upgrading and development we have produced a product with an impressive balance of nutrients and texture; even a refreshing forest scent.
Worms For Us was born.
And now we are proud to bring our specially crafted Worm Casting to you.
